I know i promised more New York related posts (don't worry they will happen - soon!) but i need to start getting into a blogging routine, so i thought the first and best place to start would be to introduce my very own Mixtape Monday!
Each week i will try and fill you guys in on what i'm listening to and what's inspiring me. It could be old, it could be new but if i'm loving it, i'll share and hopefully you'll love it too. Nothing like some great music to chase away the Monday blues....
So to start us off, it's got to be a Glastonbury theme. My weekend has consisted mostly of the Armchair Glasto Experience, feeling pretty smug about being clean and dry at home with an ace view of the bands i was actually interested in seeing. Of course, this might just be the bitterness talking because let's face it, nothing can beat the atmosphere of being there but the coverage was pretty good. I loved being curled up with my iPad switching from stage to stage live-streams. The only set i regretfully didn't watch while it was happening was Metallica, as i was out in Liverpool drinking far too much whiskey and dancing until 4am...Needless to say my Sunday morning was all about catching up on their performance and what a performance it was! Finally, heavy has a place at Glastonbury. Let's hope it remains and continues for years to come.
